Divine ScienZe and Raheem DeVaughn share vibrant new release, “Cool Water”

Divine ScienZe is a super group comprised of Brooklyn rapper ScienZe, and the Queens native producer, King I Divine. Emcee/producer duo, Divine ScienZe—comprised ScienZe and King I Divine—unite with R&B crooner Raheem DeVaughn for a soulful dose of grown and sexy hip-hop on “Cool Water.”

Those blessed enough to feel the calming love from their special someone this summer will no doubt enjoy Raheem’s cascading vocals that meld seamlessly with ScienZe’s poetic verses over King I Divine’s soothing production. “Cool Water” hits DSPs on Aug 12th through the duo’s Divine ScienZe imprint in partnership with Fat Beats. The production on “Cool Water”, handled by King I Divine, is mesmerizing. Centred around watery keys that create a rich ambiance, moored by lively, buoyant percussion and underscored by infectious bass, the beat draws the listener in to the single’s immersive atmosphere and sets the tone for ScienZe and DeVaughn’s vocal performances.

ScienZe enters first and delivers potent, pensive hip-hop verses that drift smoothly atop the beat, as he weaves together dynamic rhyme patterns with ease. Then, DeVaughn follows with a chorus that lifts the track to the heavens, demonstrating his vast range and keen ear for crafting addictive melodies.

About Divine ScienZe:

Divine ScienZe is a super group comprised of Brooklyn rapper ScienZe, and the Queens native producer, King I Divine. In 2013, the duo came together after garnering and cultivating their own solo followings to become a powerful force with an infectious hold on any ear that appreciates a vibrant, unrefined representation of real Hip Hop; modern with the essence of the Old Skool. After two successful collaborations, ScienZe and King I Divine communally created the hard-hitting, hailed ‘Divine ScienZe’ LP hosted by 2DopeBoyz (Released March 13th 2012). The duo followed up in 2014 with their ‘Divine ScienZe 2’ LP while touring throughout the US and Europe. Both albums received endless praise via blogs, official Hip Hop websites, airplay and Bandcamp. Currently King I Divine and ScienZe are working on their 3rd project which is slated to drop later this year.
