Connie Roses drops off new single, “Magnet”

Pittsburgh artist Connie Roses has returned with a new single called “Magnet”, which continues his prolific run of releases as we enter the new year. Here, he takes on a dance-infused sound that feels psychedelic with its layered sampling and off-kilter percussion, underscored by lively bass. Roses delivers verses that can’t quite be categorized, nor boxed in to one flow, as he dynamically weaves in and out of pocket while mixing in vocal inflections. Finally, he delivers a hook that ties the track together and gives it added replay value, making “Magnet” a fiery, expressive new dance-influenced hip-hop cut.

“Magnet” follows up Roses’ recent release “Bells and Bugs”, featuring Royal Haunts, which contained a more R&B-leaning sound. “Magnet” has us excited to watch Roses continue to progress, as we enter the new year. Give a listen to “Magnet” below and familiarize yourself with Connie Roses.
