Emerging artist Samuel Vincent has released a new music video titled “Raise The Gates,” featured on his Medieval-themed hip-hop album “Aurora Mortis,” which debuted in December of the prior year. This work is intricately constructed around a rich narrative, with “Raise The Gates” serving as its introductory segment. The plot centers on the album’s main character, Erdinus Athelard, who arrives at a campsite seeking rest, only to become a witness to the mysterious murder of two guards by a cloaked figure who swiftly disappears into the woods. As Erdinus contemplates pursuing the assailant, tensions rise among the campsite villagers, leading to a chaotic confrontation. Caught in the turmoil, Erdinus must confront a crucial choice: to remain concealed or to fight his way out to prevent being wrongly accused.
Samuel Vincent’s musical career commenced in his youth, deeply influenced by the classic East Coast hip-hop genre. Utilizing his father’s tape recorder alongside a Yamaha keyboard, he laid the foundation for his creative journey. His efforts have resulted in the release of two studio albums, an EP titled “Rivalry,” a plethora of collaborations and remixes, and a notable single, “Thrown Stoned” (from his debut album “Audiovile”), which has garnered attention on various curated playlists and within the underground music scene. Furthermore, his latest work, “AURORA MORTIS,” has been commended by critics for its original concept and homage to dark fantasy. Currently residing in New Jersey, Samuel Vincent dedicates much of his time to composing music at home and streaming obscure video games with friends.
