Born in the Bronx, NYC to a Dominican mother, Chunk “Chunky” Norri$ is blowing up the airwaves and making a name for himself as an artist on the scene today. A well-known audio engineer in the New York and New Jersey area, he is now making moves on the other side of the mic as he prepares for a year of new releases as a recording artist himself.
Growing up, he didn’t always have extra money for studio time or the best equipment, which led Chunky to develop a wide range of skills and a creative way of making music with what he had. He got his start early on at the age of 12, and eventually was running Grind City Studios and A.O.M. Studios in Union City, NJ.
It wasn’t always an easy path, but Chunky persevered and was able to make a name for himself by never giving up and showcasing his natural talents. He knows just how far hard work can take you in this industry, and knows nothing is going to happen to you miraculously while sitting on the couch.
A major quality that sets apart Chunky from the rest is his ability to glide easily between English and Spanish on tracks, as well as being able to make conceptual songs and cover topics that people can relate to and understand. Between sad songs, club bangers, and everything else in-between, Chunky makes music for every mood, and his versatility is unmatched.
